Elvis saved our Machu Picchu trip
I can't recommend this business highly enough. We heard about the KM 104 one day hike to Machu Picchu only five days before our trip to Cusco. As this was high season, there was slim chance that we could even get entrance to the park at such a late time, much less find a spot on a guided hike. Our hotel concierge looked into it and came back saying it was impossible. I found Kenko Adventures highly rated here on Trip Advisors, checked their website, found that they offered a KM 104 hike and emailed the info@ address with my info, phone number, and desired dates. Elvis, the owner of Kenko, replied by email and WhatsApp and we were able to quickly coordinate the entire trip. Elvis secured our Machu Picchu entrance tickets, bus transportation, and train tickets (the train to the KM 104 trailhead involves a special stop).
He came to our hotel personally the night before to brief us on the plan. Since we'd been such a last minute request, he had booked us with another highly rated tour company who already had a small trek planned during our stay. (We were four hikers and one guide, so intimate and fun.) Elvis outlined the full day's itinerary and then came back to the hotel at 3:50 AM the following day to introduce us to our guide for the day. When we finished the (incredible) excursion, he met us back at our hotel to check on us and make sure things had gone smoothly. They had. He'd even secured us a train upgrade to the VistaDome return and we got to tell our hiking companions about the fun performance on our ride back to Cusco. You are in incredible hands with this guy.
