One Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Let me save you the time and research that I did, this is the best value you can get for the one day Inca trail. Elvis is wonderful, he responded quickly to all of my questions prior to the hike and even picked us up at the airport the day before our hike. It was so nice having Kenko Adventures handle all of the travel, you really get to relax and not worry about where you're going and how you're getting there.
The day is an early start (4am pick up from your hotel/airbnb) with a car ride, train ride, then around 7:30am you start the hike. Elvis gives you a lot of information and is very patient. The hike itself is moderately hard, you go up a lot of steps until the end of the hike which after reaching the Sun Gate is mostly downhill. Lunch and snacks are provided by Kenko Adventures but make sure you have room in your day pack - bring extra water and bug spray!
If you're lucky enough to have Elvis as your guide then you've really hit the jackpot. His English is excellent, he can handle your group when you start to get cranky after all those steps, he's got a lot of great information about the ruins and Inca trail, and he can take a joke (whatever Elvis!)

**One piece of advice, if you're a vegetarian make sure you clarify that you don't eat chicken either.
