Permits and Availability for Lares Treks
The Lares Trek is a distinctive journey, offering a traditional and alternative experience to the classic Inca Trail. This unique adventure leads you through remote and less crowded paths, immersing you in the untouched beauty of nature. Our commitment to responsible tourism includes educating communities on environmental conservation, reflecting in our carefully curated Lares and Sacred Valley trek routes. These itineraries are designed by experts in community tourism to safeguard the heritage of the last Inca villages in the Peruvian Andes, like Cancha-Chancha and the Quishuarani Inca community, whose residents are keen to share their rich customs and traditions.
For those who couldn't secure an Inca Trail ticket, there's no need to worry. You have the opportunity to explore the magnificent Lares or Sacred Valley treks. Additionally, we offer a shorter, 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, as well as the Salkantay Trek available in 3, 4, and 5-day options.
Embarking on a trek in the Andes with us is a transformative experience, a journey of a lifetime that we're eager to guide you through. We highly recommend our alternative treks to Machu Picchu, ensuring you have all the necessary information to plan your expedition to Peru.
While the Lares route itself does not require permits or direct checks for availability, it's crucial to consider that Machu Picchu or the Inca Trail may be part of your itinerary. Therefore, checking the availability for these destinations is important. Additionally, if you wish to include a visit to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, advance booking is required, at least three months ahead, to secure your spot.
This adventure promises not just a trek but a deep dive into the heart of Andean culture, landscape, and history.
