Description of buweho (depth 1)
The climate in Peru is highly variable and does not conform to the typical four seasons. Here in the Andes, you can experience all seasons in a single day! This is why we always recommend our visitors prepare for any occasion, whether it's for rain or sunny days. A significant factor affecting our global climate is global warming, which has contributed to glacier melting in the Peruvian Andes, impacting our weather patterns. Nonetheless, Peru, and particularly Andean cities like Cusco, have two main seasons:
- Dry Season: Generally from the end of April until the end of September, with the first rains beginning towards the end of this period. This is often considered the best time to visit our region and the amazing Machu Picchu to avoid inconveniences.
- Rainy Season: This season typically runs from October until the end of April. During this time, we advise all visitors to pack their belongings into waterproof bags, as sunny mornings can quickly turn into heavy rain. We understand that extreme climates exist worldwide, but this should not deter your desire to explore the world, discover marvelous cultures, and interact with them. Welcome to Peru and Machu Picchu.
