Detailed short Inca Trail Map, 2 days tour with hotel
The 2-day Inca Trail has become increasingly popular among travelers who still want to hike the last part of the classic Inca Trail while visiting more Incan sites like Chachabamba, Wiñayhuayna, Sungate, and Machu Picchu. We highly recommend this tour during the rainy season as it offers more chances to capture your Machu Picchu postcard picture during the sunset on the first day and sunrise on the next day, allowing you to avoid the crowds.
This tour starts in Cusco or Ollantaytambo and then takes a train to KM 104 or Chachabamba train station. From there, you'll hike to Machu Picchu for 7 hours. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset over Machu Picchu, and the next day, you'll experience the full wonder of Machu Picchu.
It's advisable to book this tour in advance as it's gaining popularity. We suggest booking one month ahead to guarantee your departure.
