Rainbow Mountain

Rainbow Mountain, also called Montaña de Siete Colores (Seven Colors Mountain)
Vinicunca, Peru - Rainbow Mountain (5100 m) located in the Peruvian Andes, Cusco region in South America.

But why the Rainbow Mountain has different colors?
Firstly, always depend which photos you see on the internet. Super bright, technicolor photos are often enhanced by Photoshop, but the real deal isn't dull either. The mountainsides look like they were colored in yellows, greens, reds, and purples, but they look a little more natural in person.

The reason why these colors have formed, HuffPo reported, is because of the ice that used to cover the area. When it began to melt, the water mixed with minerals in the ground, turning the earth into the many colors you see today these formation took millions of years. Red areas are due to rust mixtures, yellows are due to iron sulfide, purples are from goethite or oxidized limonite, and the greens come from chlorite.
After the ice was melted and the ground started to go up by earthquakes and other natural disaster, nature start tol et Us to see these natural color on top or the andes mountains at 5100 meters heihgt.

Best Time to Visit Rainbow Mountain
The best to plan for your trip can be in warmer months, and you may have the best expereince but you have to remenber that Cusco región is located in the mountains that means the weather change very fast, like during nights is very cold till morning then during day it is super hot those months are from May to October, and the wet season is from November to april. The begining and the end of these season is not bad you can still visit with a nice weather but December to February we have intense rains
How to Get to Rainbow Mountain
To get to Rainbow Mountain, travelers should first head to Cusco. From the city, visitors take a two- to three-hour car ride to cusipata town. Travelers then have to make their way to Trail head to start the trek. Yes, this really is the best way.

Rainbow Mountain Trail
Once you reach The base, it's about three-hour by car and then you Will start the hike for about 1 hour till reach the steeper part wich is going to take 1 more hour to get the top and another 1:30 hour down to the base. The trip is fairly challenging for the altitud, but at this time any one can do it including beginner hikers. The other important thing to remember is that the mountain sits at a rather high elevation more than 16,000 feet above sea level — 17,060 feet to be exact — so be prepared by bringing plenty of water energy drinks take altitud pills as well and taking your time on the ascent and descent in your own pace.
According to All Trails, the out-and-back trail clocks in at 4 miles in total and it takes an average of 4. 30hours to complete the whole Trail but if you are interested to do extra hike to Red Valley, it takes 20 minutes to hike there where you will see an amazing mountains and Red valley.

I had a really great time on my hike to Machu Picchu, the pain is totally worth it. Not only when you see the first glimpse of Machu Picchu but also the incredible landscape on the way. Elvis is a really great guide who makes sure you’re safe and take enough brakes. On top of that he is also really good at taking pictures, which is very rare!
